||Recorded on location in Athens, Porto, Dublin, and at The Open University.
The PEARL Project (Practical Experimentation by Accessible Remote Learning) is a collaboration between The Open University, The University of Dundee, Trinity College, Dublin and The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto. Each institution has been developing facilities for conducting a range of teaching experiments in science and engineering subjects at higher education level, remotely over the WWW. One of the original aims of the project was to offer increased access for disabled students to practical work in these areas.
The video sequences include a short advert on PEARL, illustrated interviews about each of the experiments and their findings thus far, and a glimpse into the future of PEARL.
